Susan Lea Fairless, longtime Wichita resident, died Friday, January 24, 2025 at the Avita Senior Living at Rolling Hills in Wichita, Kansas.

She was born on November 23, 1951 in Winfield, Kansas. The daughter of Guy Dean and Frances L. Duncan Roberts. Susan was raised and attended schools in Winfield.

She later moved to Wichita where for many years she worked at DCCCA. Susan enjoyed reading, drawing and doing crossword puzzles.

She is survived by her daughters Susanne Bogner Moore and husband Heath, of Winfield and Kristi Bogner Dean of Wichita; her grandchildren whom she enjoyed spending time with Cayla McIlvain, Jason Nelson, Jancy Dorzweiler, Ilish Dean, Abram Dean; and her five great grandchildren.

Susan is preceded in death by her parents and her longtime companion Charlie Hudlin.

A come and go Celebration of Life will be held between 2:00 P.M. and 4:00 P.M., Sunday, February 16 at the First United Methodist Church in Winfield, Kansas.

Private family inurnment will take place at the Highland Cemetery in Winfield, Kansas.

The family has entrusted Affordable Cremations Plus of Wichita with her services.
