Terrell Callaway Taylor, 83, of Wichita, died Saturday, October 24, 2026 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas.

He was born on July 29, 1943 in Wichita, the son of Coy Callaway and Mary Lee (Evans) Taylor. Terry was raised in Wichita and graduated from Wichita West High School.

Terry lived in Wichita until moving to Texas in 1972. He owned and operated TC Taylor Concrete Construction in Athens, Texas until returning to Wichita in 1992.

Terry married Mary Helen Byrd on June 26, 1993 in Wichita. Terry and Mary had a loving and laughter filled marriage until Mary's passing on November 19, 2004.

Terry enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, playing pool, reading Louis L'Amour books and watching classic westerns on TV.

Terry had a generous heart. He was always willing to help someone in need. Whether it be with their cars, washing machines, hanging a new door or just listening to support someone through a hard time.

Terry is survived by his son Jared Callaway Taylor of Annona, Texas; daughter Tonnie Madaline (Taylor) Gillen and her husband Patrick of Evergreen, Colorado; and sisters Judy Morris (Garry), Jan Mueller (Ron) both of Wichita, and Jill Pepper (David) of Aurora, Colorado.

Terry is preceded in death by his parents and wife.

He will be deeply missed by so many whose lives he touched with his kindness, generosity, and loving heart.

Private inurnment will take place beside his wife at Greenwood Cemetery in Wichita.
