Thomas L Vsetecka

Thomas Lynn Vsetecka, US Air Force Vetran was born in Great Bend, KS on May 10th, 1949 to the late Bohumil F. Vsetecka and June Vsetecka and passed away peacefully on August 10th, 2026. He was a man whose life was shaped by faith, resilience, service, and love for his family.

Throughout his life, Thomas faced his share of struggles, including his journey through alcoholism and recovery. Rather than allowing those struggles to define him, he used his experiences to help others. He devoted much of his life to working as a drug and alcohol counselor, offering guidance, compassion, and hope to people who were walking a difficult road.

His faith in Jesus was an important part of his life, and he carried that faith with him through both the good times and the hard ones. After suffering a stroke, he faced another difficult chapter with courage.

But above all, Thomas was a father and grandfather who loved his family deeply. His grandchildren held a special place in his heart, and some of his happiest moments were spent with them. He also enjoyed bowling and the simple joy of being around the people he loved.

He will be remembered not only for the challenges he faced, but for the lives he touched, the people he helped, his sense of perseverance, and cant forget his sense of humor and his love for Jesus, and the love he had for his children and grandchildren.

He leaves behind 5 children Shauna Wirth (Greg), Kirt Vsetecka, Jeff Rohr (Amy), Kendra Brazil (John), Bohumil Vsetecka (Shauna), 16 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren and his sister Kayla Vsetecka and many friends and loved ones who will miss him dearly.

Thomas is preceded in death by his wife Charlene Vsetecka of 48 years , brothers Gaylen Vsetecka, Rob Vsetecka, sister Terri Jantz.Though he is no longer with us, his story, his faith, and the lives he touched will continue to live on through the people who loved him.

Rest in peace, Dad. You are loved, you are missed, and you will never be forgotten.
