Trevor Aaron Gilbert, 42, passed away on Friday, February 7, 2025, surrounded by the love and support of his family, including his children, their mother, his mother, and his brother and sister-in-law.

A lifelong resident of Wichita and a proud South High alumnus, Trevor was born on April 19, 1982, to John and Louanne Gilbert. He was known for his hard work, playful spirit, and infectious laughter. For over 20 years, he worked as a painter with Heartland Painting. Trevor had a deep passion for watching his favorite team, the Houston Texans, and enjoyed binge-watching reality TV shows. His favorite place in the world was the beach in Mexico, where he cherished family vacations.

Trevor leaves behind his children, Corbin, Caitlyn, and Cailey Gilbert; his mother, Louanne Gilbert; his brothers, Dameon Gilbert and Adam Gilbert (and his wife, Melissa), all of Wichita; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his father, John Gilbert.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
