Virginia Kay Allmond, 76, of Newton, Ks, passed away on January 23, 2026 at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita, Ks, surrounded by family. She was born on September 5, 1949 in Wichita to Harley and Marjorie (Ruth) Schriner.


She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Richard Smith, two brothers; Dale and Larry Schriner, and one sister, Joann Jennings.

She is survived by her daughters; Stephanie Smith and Angela Menjivar, brother, Jim Schriner, four grandchildren; Colby Allmond, Shailyana "Shai" Menjivar, Gesaka Menjivar, and Genaka Lindberg, and two great-grandchildren; Maeteo Buffalohead and Sophia Specht.
