Virginia Ann Riffel, age 75, peacefully joined the Lord on January 5, 2026, at Via Christi Hospital in Wichita, Kansas. She was born on July 31, 1950, in Salina, Kansas, to Clifford and Emma Day, and spent her entire life in the community she loved.

Virginia had a gentle spirit and found joy in life's simple blessings. She loved drawing and cherished time spent with her family, creating memories filled with love, laughter, and warmth. She was a graduate of Salina Central High School and shared her time and talents through her work at Asbury Hospital, Kmart, and Schilling Elementary School.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.

Virginia leaves behind her beloved daughters, Christina Thayer and Angela Peck; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and her former spouse, Lyle Riffel. Her love will continue to live on through them and all who were fortunate enough to know her.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 31, 2026, at 2:00 p.m. at the Scout Hall in Minneapolis, Kansas.
