William "Bill" Mainz, 84, passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2025, in Wichita, KS. He was born on May 24, 1941, in St. Marks, KS, to Marcus and Lucille (Girrens) Mainz.

Bill was born and raised in St. Marks, KS, and graduated from Andale High School. He was the owner and operator of Mainz and Associates. He was a loving husband and father who taught his children the value of hard work, honesty, and truth. Bill was an active member of "The Breakfast Club" and will be missed by all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Marcus and Lucille Mainz; his sister-in-law, Margie Mainz; and his granddaughter, Amanda Seachris.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Lois E. Mainz; one son, Tim Nelson of Viola; two daughters, Tamra Sanders of Wichita and Amy Nelson of Goddard; three brothers, Steve Mainz of Wichita, Stan Mainz (Marilyn) of Colorado, and Eric Mainz (Barb) of St. Marks; two sisters, Joan Wesolowsky (Vince) of Wichita and Dr. Vera Mainz (Dr. Greg Girolomi) of Illinois; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; four nieces; and six nephews.

Rosary will be held on Sunday, July 20, 2025 at 7:30 p.m. followed by Funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. Monday, July 21, 2025 both held at St. Mark's the Evangelist Catholic Church 19230 W 29th Street N Colwich, Ks 67030. In lieu of flowers memorials have been established with Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice.
