William Lee Daniel McMullen, Sr., 68, died Tuesday, December 23, 2025 at the Legacy of Herington in Herington, Kansas.

He was born on September 12, 1957 in Kansas City, Missouri. Danny was raised in the Kansas City area, attending North East High School in Kansas City, Mo.

After high school, he served in the U. S. Army, returning to Kansas City where he continued to live and work as a truck driver.

Survivors include his sons Shawn McMullen of Kansas City, Mo., Danny McMullen, Jr. of Claycomo, Mo., Robert McMullen of Kansas City, Mo.; daughter Jessica Blanchard of Lawson, Mo.; sister Sabrina Burt of Herington; and two grandchildren.

Danny is preceded in death by his father William Harry McMullen; mother Shirley Ann Sullins Smoot; and brother Glen David McMullen.

No services are planned at this time.
