Obituary

Winston Walter Smith, 44, died unexpectedly on Saturday, January 3, 2026 in Wichita, Kansas.

He was born on April 6, 1981 in Wichita. Winston lived in the Douglass, Kansas area where he graduated from high school.

Winston and his twin brother, Sean, were dedicated at the University Friends Church in Wichita where his mother's family were founding members.

Through the years he worked as a rough neck, truck driver, and  handi-man. Winston also built zip-lines across the area. He continued to live in Douglass until moving to Wichita a few years ago.

Winston was a member of the Belle Plain Masonic Lodge, A.F. & A.M. and Midian Shrine Temple. He also attended the Albert Pike Masonic Lodge A.F. & A.M. in Wichita. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and making items out of metal and wood.

Survivors include his mother Paula Marie Riner Smith of Wichita; father Michael Claude Smith and wife Kimberly of Wichita; twin brother Sean Paul Smith and wife Hesper of Douglass; son Chastin Ray Indigo Cloke; step-sister Kimberly Brooke Noland of Peck, Ks.; nieces and nephews Lexi Shaver and husband Ayden Burkes along with their children Raelynn and Jaxon, Kallie Smith, Karlee Smith, Jake Smith as well as Kimberly Jewel Noland and Quenton Noland; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.

A Celebration Of Life will be held on Friday, January 9th at the Community Building in Douglass between 4:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M. Friends are welcome to come and go.

In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established with the Midian Shrine Plane of Mercy.

The family has entrusted Affordable Cremations Plus in Wichita with Winston's care.
