Obituary

James "Jim" Donald Grubb, a lifelong resident of Ellinwood, KS, was born on December 14, 1957, at St. Rose Hospital in Great Bend, Ks. He peacefully passed away on Monday, October 2, 2022, in Andover, KS. He was the beloved son of Samuel D. Grubb and Dortha V. Carver Grubb, and his presence in our lives will be deeply missed.

Throughout his life, Jim's unwavering dedication was evident as he committed over four decades to various fields, including oil, gas, and carpentry industries.

In Jim's youth he loved the outdoors.  He was a member of his father, Samuel Grubb's Boy Scout troop in Ellinwood.  The Boy Scouts taught him the skills needed to camp, love of nature, and technical aspects of working on mechanical equipment.

Most of all Jim loved to talk about his family and how they were doing, seldom mentioning himself. Even toward the end of his life he was making sure others were taken care of and not worrying about himself.

Jim was preceded in death by both his parents, Samuel D. Grubb, Mother Dortha (Virginia) (Carver, Grubb, and Brother 1LT ret Daniel D. Grubb.

Survivors include, Wife Teresa Grubb (Ensminger), Andover, KS, Son Gary Grubb, Great Bend, Daughter Judy Grubb, Ellinwood, Sisters Sammie Lou Reif (Grubb) and Melvin Reif of Great Bend, Ks., Linda Sue Ewing (Grubb) and Donald Ewing of Chase, Ks; and brother LTC ret Noel D. Grubb and Kristin Grubb (Lutz) of Stroudsburg, PA.
